Blogging!

PINNED 📌

Yello! I dont use Neocities much for personal stuff but may drop structured thoughts , site logs, or a media reccomendation or two here. For actual usual blogging my Tumblr is full of stupid bullshit messages with zero thought put behind them as well as art

Site log ; Making assets for websites is tough, and making comics is usually harder. But I worked a little on both today, and I'll be honest i'm (still) very proud with how this website is turning out! Just have to finish drawing the link buttons and then I can do the funner stuff, like story descriptions and little pages for characters I enjoy! Makes me think, should I rename this page from "personal" to "about" or something like that? Or maybe add a blurb about me on the front page or something? or just keep it as is??? I don't know. I'm not too keen on giving out information, as previously stated. My likes and friendship are like unlockable tiers in gacha games. Get closer to find out what is wrong with me boy.

It is nice to do this silly little blog thing btw. Its enjoyable. I love complaining

Site log ; Managed to start and finish my art section of this site today. Proud of myself! Other than that, i've been thinking about time a lot recently. I'm scared of how long things take. I'm planning out a ~52 page comic and I know it's going to take at least two months to draw out. That makes me feel bad. I know the time will pass anyways but it's just so long and I want it to be finished NOWWWWWW. I don't like that things take time and planning and honestly would really prefer it if I could just crack open my head with a crowbar and pour out how it looks in my head onto the paper. I fear that if I don't get it out as quick as possible i'll never get it out at all, which isn't true but feels like it. Something something that defunctland quote that the process sucks but the only thing that sucks worse than the process is not doing anything at all. Trying not to get burnout or feel stressed about things that I am doing for fun feels like an olympic sport.

Hey there! figured I should actually start writing stuff down here. I'm not really sure how much I'll use this, the idea of a public diary has never been apealing to me.

So hey, instead let's start with a media reccomendation! Or just cataloguing of how I feel about media in general. I read this book today, called All Tommorrows, a speculative fiction book from 2006 written by C.M Kösemen that explores the idea of humanity's evolution through space travel and beyond. It kind of reminds me of a booth I stopped by at a local art fair, where the artist's body of work consisted of making different planets to house different types of life (unfortunately unsure how to find him online as it's been so long since then and i'm very forgetful). All Tommorrows has absolutely beautiful and breathtaking artwork along with a great message. It's easy to find online in PDF form and is just 122 pages, but just in case you're someone who's more video essay orientated, here's a great one to watch:

Overall really inspiring and amazing story! Really reccomend especially if you enjoy spec bio. I also found a lot of ocs for this book online, which I wasn't expecting and found really cool!
